Liven World builds neighborhoods where Ruben (19), Rietje (78) and Nizar (21) cross paths every day. Housing, well-being, mobility and community as one, we call it Living Infrastructure: the city's fourth utility.
"Daarnaast werd de Liven World-aanpak gepresenteerd: een systeem dat technologie, welzijn, gemeenschap en mobiliteit vanaf het begin meeneemt in het ontwerpen van woongebouwen."
As parents of growing children, we see a world becoming more divided. Polarisation is rising, respect is hard to find, and dividing lines are forming in our society: between young and old, rich and poor, established and newcomers.
Since the pandemic, these tensions have only sharpened. Debates about migration, politics and the economy are dominated by extremes, while the heart of the issue is too often forgotten: people's basic needs, like affordable housing and a fair chance at a future.
We believe it is time to act. Not by thinking in camps, but by carrying a message of community and connection.
With Liven World we want to show that behind every Wereldbewoner, every world resident, there is a story. That migration is not a threat, but an opportunity to embrace talent and diversity. That housing is not a luxury, but a basic right that holds the key to social cohesion and economic growth.
People are not labels. They are individuals with dreams, ambitions and talents. Let us not focus on the differences, but on what we share. And together build a world where everyone feels at home.
Each persona tells the same story from a different angle. We design the neighborhood so their needs reinforce one another instead of competing, that's what we mean by living together.
studies.
A roof isn't enough. He wants to learn, work, make friends, and know it's okay when things aren't going well.
cared.
Her daughters live far away. Her house has grown too big, her calendar too empty. What she needs isn't a care home, she needs people.
connects.
He came for the horticulture work but wants more than a bed. He wants to learn the language, open a bank account, make friends, and stay.
Since the last century we've agreed to share energy, water and data as public backbones. Housing was left behind, treated as a private affair. Liven World introduces Living Infrastructure: housing, well-being, mobility and community as a shared layer of the city. Not a luxury, a foundation.
Shared cars, bikes, transit hubs and parking for the whole neighborhood. We build the mobility nodes, not just the homes.
GP services, home care, mental support and an opt-in daily check-in for those who want one, woven into the building itself.
Shared ground floors, ateliers, roof gardens, events and a platform where neighbours actually meet. Living becomes a verb again.
Our platform connects residents, landlords, employers and municipalities. AI matching, ESG data, smart contracts, invisible, in service.
The plinth is the ground floor where a building meets the street. At Liven World it is not a lobby or leftover space, but the shared layer where care, community, mobility and technology come together. The heart of a neighborhood that works. With the Plinth Configurator, you translate your project into a concrete plinth scenario in minutes.
Wellness facilities, childcare, elder support, advisory services.
Shared kitchens, event spaces, co-working, library, hobby rooms.
Covered bike parking, shared vehicles, drop-off points.
Smart access, digital learning spaces, shared control systems.
No technical knowledge required. About context, scale, audience, and what the plinth should do for the neighborhood.
The system selects the closest plinth archetype from a library of ten, built on two years of research with developers, municipalities and housing corporations.
An isometric visualisation of your specific plinth configuration. Where care sits, how mobility connects, where community lives.
10 pages with modules, spatial strategy and a narrative describing how this plinth supports daily life. Straight to your inbox, ready to share.

Three scales, one vision. We innovate in the Lab, materialise in the Tower and deliver at city scale in the City. Each layer feeds the next, and each layer is repeatable for the next municipality that joins.
The lab where we co-develop modular construction, energy, mobility, AI and community design, with VDL De Meeuw, AMPER, MVSA, FEV and MAECONOMY.
The residential node. A scalable modular tower with an active plinth, shared mobility, community space and smart systems, a neighborhood in itself.
Area development. A network of Towers, mobility hubs, shared amenities and a data layer, anchored in a public-private partnership with the city.
In one neighborhood we don't build isolated towers, we build the whole system at once: two residential clusters, a follow-on development, and the mobility hub that opens up the entire area. Almere isn't a pilot. It's the blueprint we'll replicate in every next municipality.
Two residential towers ~70 m tall, designed by MVSA, with a ~2,000 m² active plinth (commercial real estate) where daily amenities and community come together. Groundbreaking 2028.
A few hundred metres further we build the second tower, more compact, different typology, but part of the same neighborhood system and the same mobility layer. Including ~1,000 m² of commercial space. Construction starts 2028.
A five-storey above-ground parking structure with timber and green façade, 811 spaces including shared cars, not just for our residents but for the neighboring developers who buy their parking norm here. This isn't a standalone parking: it's the toll-keeper position from which Liven World orchestrates the whole district.
"We don't just build homes. We build the nodes the neighborhood turns on."
Liven World is orchestrated, not merely built. We bring together the parties needed to make a neighborhood come alive, from industrial construction to social services, from AI platform to architect.
